I have a thought that leads to a feeling,
an emotion locked inside an empty soul.
I lie when I answer with I don't care,

beneath my blank stare.

Garry kept fiddling with a loose thread on his leather jacket. Laura had warned that she’d be late. She always ran late for everything. It was a social anxiety trait she got from her mother. Garry still worried, though. He looked down at his watch, then flipped open his phone to see if he had missed a call or a text message. That’s when she snuck up on him.
